Giorgio Revelli Organ Recital: A Journey Around Europe
The opening concert of Rosslyn Chapel’s new 2022 Organ recital series!
Italian organist Giorgio Revelli will take you on a musical journey around Europe with organ compositions from the Scottish, English, Italian, French and German schools of organ music. With works ranging from the Renaissance to the present day.
Organist, harpsichordist, pianist, Giorgio Revelli is titular organist (dating from 2007) at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Bussana, Sanremo, Italy, and director of music at Saint Maurice Cathedral, Imperia, Italy.
A native of Taggia, Italy, Mr. Revelli is titular organist at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Bussana, Sanremo, Italy, and director of music at Saint Maurice Cathedral, Imperia, Italy. He studied organ, harpsichord and chamber music at the National Conservatory of Nice, France, and has been regularly invited to international music festivals in France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Belgium, and Spain. He plays with several Italian orchestras including the Florentine chamber orchestra, the Symphony Orchestra of Sanremo and the Brass Ensemble to the West Texas University. Since 2020 he has been President of the International Composition Competition of the Abbey of Marcilhac sur Célé in France. Giorgio Revelli has recorded CDs with CLASSIC CONCERT of Salzburg.
