Second phase of work underway at Collegehill House
January 8, 2018
Collegehill House, the Category-B listed property adjacent to Rosslyn Chapel, has closed today to allow the second phase of conservation repairs to begin.
In 2017, the first phase of works included reharling the exterior, repairs to the roof and chimneys, and conservation repairs carried out to the windows. Within this second phase, improvements will be made to the basement and bathroom, the heating will be upgraded and the interior redecorated. The work is being undertaken by Rosslyn Chapel Trust and overseen by Page\Park Architects. The main contractors are Campbell & Smith.
Dating from 1660, Collegehill House served as an inn until 1866. The house is now available for self-catering accommodation through a partnership with The Landmark Trust. It is hoped that the house will re-open in early April.
