Chapel opening times over Christmas

2024 Christmas

December 20, 2024

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Rosslyn Chapel as Guide Neil Hamilton puts the finishing touches to the Christmas tree. The tree is a gift from Dalkeith Country Park and is located in The Lady Chapel, the most ornately carved part of the building. The Chapel and Visitor Centre are open to visitors throughout the Christmas holidays as follows –

  • open daily up to 23rd December
  • closed on 24th and 25th December
  • open again from 26th December to 31st December
  • closed on 1 January
  • open again from 2 January onwards

The Chapel is a working church and part of the Scottish Episcopal Church. Visitors are welcome at Sunday morning services, starting at 10.30am, throughout Advent and Christmas.

Services for Christmas will be:

  • Christmas Eve Tuesday 24th December, 3.00-4.30pm –  Journey to Bethlehem – Experiencing the Christmas Story “for real!”  Suitable for children and families with crafts, characters, music and fun. Please book here – Journey to Bethlehem
